  • A SHAPE IAS privacy policy is designed to inform students and users about how their personal information is collected, used, and protected. This privacy policy applies to the services made available at and its subdomains alongside our mobile application. The website and mobile application will be hereinafter collectively referred to as Platform.

This document supersedes any prior communication on this topic and reflects the entire and exclusive Privacy Policy for this site. This Policy is subject to our Terms of Use, which take precedence over any conflicting Policy provision. We may change our Policy by posting a new version of it on our site.

We collect Names, Emails and Profile pictures during the Login/Signup feature. This information is used to create the user's account and to send emails regarding services provided by us.

A user can send an email to Email ID to get his/her account deleted from our system. We will erase the data of the user from our system. However, in some cases, we will retain the information for as long as it is required for the purpose of complying with legal obligations or business compliances.

Shape IAS may also disclose account information in special cases when we believe it is necessary to identify, investigate, prevent, or take legal action against someone who may be breaking the Terms of Services or may be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) Shape IAS rights or property; to defend and protects the right, or safety of Shape IAS, website/App users, or others; and in connection with our Terms of Service and other agreements.

Use of Information:

The policy will outline how the collected information is used. This might include purposes such as enrollment processing, communication, course delivery, academic support, and administrative functions. A user may contact us in order to remove, deactivate or edit his/her account information and profile by logging into our website/App to update his/her information. The requested changes may take up to 24Hrs to appear online because of the verification process and server cache policies.

Note that after deletion or deactivation of the account, the user will not be able to access any members. The additional residual information will remain in our archives and records, but that will not be used for commercial purposes.

We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, in particular for the following reasons:

1) Internal record keeping.

2) We may use the information to improve our products and services.

3) We may periodically send promotional emails about new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address you have provided.

4) From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes. We may contact you by email, phone, Whatsapp or mail.

5) We may use the information to customise the Platform according to your interests.

We will retain the information for as long as it is required for the purpose of complying with legal obligations or business compliances.


We may present links in a format that enables us to keep track of whether these links have been followed or not. We use this information to improve our customized content. Clicking on links may take you to Websites/Platforms outside our domain. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other Websites/Platforms. If you use a feature requiring payment of a fee, we transmit your credit card/other card data to our bank for processing. If we encounter a problem with payment, we may review the order information with you and our bank to resolve it. We do not otherwise disclose your card information. We do not share your email address or your personal information with third-party marketers. However, no data transmissions over the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us via the Internet, and you do so at your own risk.

How Long Do We Retain User Data?

Currently, we plan to retain user data while an account is active and for at least three years afterwards. We may alter this practice according to legal and business requirements. For example, we may lengthen the retention period for some data if needed to comply with law or voluntary codes of conduct. Unless otherwise prohibited, we may shorten the retention period for some types of data if needed to free up storage space.

Third-Party Sharing:

If the SHAPE IAS shares personal information with third parties, such as service providers or educational partners, the privacy policy will disclose this and explain the purpose of such sharing. Third parties provide certain services that are available on our Platform. We may provide information, including Personal Information to third-party service providers to help us deliver programs, products, information, and services. Service providers are also an important means by which We maintain our Platform and mailing lists. Similarly, it is against our policy to sell Personal Information collected online without consent. You can access and manage your account information. You can update your usage by accessing further paid services or products or changing details such as email address, and personal information. When you send an email or other communication to us, we may retain those communications in order to process your enquiries, respond to your requests and improve our services. 

Legal Requirements:

The privacy policy will mention the circumstances under which the SHAPE IAS may disclose personal information to comply with legal obligations, court orders, or governmental requests.

We limit access to personal information about you to employees who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide products or services to you or in order to do their jobs. We have physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with the laws prevalent in India to protect personal information about you. We seek to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Rules made there under to ensure the protection and preservation of your privacy.

Discussion Forums:

When you use certain features on our website like the discussion forums and you post or share your personal information such as comments, messages, files, and photos, it will be available to all users, and will be in the public domain. All such sharing of information is done at your own risk. Please keep in mind that if you disclose personal information in your profile or when posting on our forums this information may become publicly available.

Updates to the Privacy Policy:

SHAPE IAS reserves the right to update, change or modify this policy at any time. The policy shall come into effect from the date of such update, change or modification.

We may also analyse information that does not contain personal information for trends and statistics.

Location information - Access to location/GPS data is optional and doesn't affect the services at all. If the user has granted access to the location/GPS data, We may collect and use this information to create a heatmap or to improve our services in a particular geographical region.


We do not contact children under the age of 15 about special offers or for marketing purposes without a parent's permission.
